With over 13M customers worldwide, Flutter Entertainment plc is a global sports betting, gaming, and entertainment provider. Flutter Entertainment plc joined hands with The Star Group, for shares combination.
This combination brought strength to the breadth of Star’s technology capacities. And Flutter became completely oriented towards developing and expanding the existing range of innovative products. As the outcome of this merger with The Star Group, there was an addition of new brands like PokerStars, Sky Bet, and Sky Vegas.
After completing almost three and half months of the Star Group merger, the company has been successful in its aims of expanding operations while keeping centralized support for its four regions, including the UK, Ireland, Australia, and the USA.
Recently, the company has seen a great business potential in its PPB’s (Paddy Power Betfair) online sportsbook platform. And, the officials have announced the migration of its all betting brands to the PPB platform. Following this, FanDuel, Fox Bet, and BetStars being migrated to PPB. Since 2015, both FoxBets and BetStars have been powered by Amelco, while FanDuel will migrate from GAN and IGT (International Game Technology).
For Australia, Flutter has decided to migrate BetEasy customers to Sportsbet as a result of its single-brand strategy. All the migration efforts will also comply with improved sustainability and security of the business. When the agreement with The Star Group happened, there were two main goals linked to the business development and expansion, i.e., assessment of anti-money laundering and gambling procedures of The Star Group and the regulatory, legal, and tax risk involved in every international market of expansion. Flutter said that the company is simply fulfilling its merger agreement on reviewing the market exposure and compliance standards of the combined group. Wherever the company is seeing higher standards, Flutter is adopting the higher ones for sure.
